The ongoing development of the Kings players is an important priority for the club, both post season and post club career. There are two important expansions to the Kings Scholarship program that are being introduced this year to support this objective.
1) A summer camp scholarship for the player on each team that best demonstrates the positive attitude, leadership, team commitment and performance during competition necessary to move their team forward. The player will be chosen by their coach, and awarded the scholarship between the final premier and provincial competition. The award includes room, board and registration fees for the Diggit camp held in Camrose between the dates of August 12th and 16th. 2) The scholarship for players advancing to compete on a post secondary team has been expanded to include all colleges and universities. This is a $300 award to players moving onto a team within two seasons of finishing with the club at the U18 level. Application for these scholarships is through the email link at the top of the “Scholarship Recipients” tab to the left.
